A quiet day at Alwalton on the Nene

Moored Alwalton, River Nene

A quiet day aboard today after a lengthy cruise over the last couple of days.  Quiet on board, but not so out there!  Tis blowing a gale..

Alwalton, River Nene

NP is snuggly moored beside Alwalton Lock, where today only two boats passed through, one up and one down.

But we have both been busy today.  We have been busy putting up a couple of shelves in the lower wardrobe, making new candles out of the spent ones already used and yet more jam making.. still got loads of those plums that I scrumped picked at Denver.

Meg’s foot is slowly improving after having pulled out a claw about a week ago.. she is feeling much better charging around while out walking, diving in and out of the river, up and down the forest banks… well I have given up trying to keep her under total control at walk… I’ll just let her get on with it now and keep a good eye on it..

On the move again tomorrow, hopefully the wind will have died down a bit.
