It’s the start of my Christmas – the London Pilgrimage

Moored Gnosall, Shropshire Union Canal

An early start this morning before dawn was thwart when the train from Stafford was held at Nuneaton while they fixed a power failure at Tring.  The train manager said that we may well have to stop at Milton Keynes and abandon the journey!…

Made it though, and only just over an hour late..

A picnic lunch at Olympia before enjoying the afternoon performance of the Olympia Christmas Horse Show.  Not only showjumping but so much fun.. here Jessica is mesmerized by what is going on, it is her first year here..

A treat for the two oldest grandchildren and this year Jessica had reached the magic age to be able to go.. I just loved these tiny dogs belting around the agility course..

And to finish, of course, there was good ‘ol Father Christmas sending greetings to us all..

Delays on the way back meant I didn’t get home until nearly 10pm.. but I wanted just to give you a flavour of my day, it was well worth the difficult trip I’ll tell you!

Tomorrow should be fun, we HAVE to get past Wheaton Aston or we are going to be stuck between there and Nantwich behind us after Christmas until March because of the stoppages, we had planned to be at Great Haywood next Tuesday, dunno if we can make that but tomorrow is a must.. Ice picks at the ready I think! Olympia, London
