Retirement with No Problem

With all systems checked and switched on I sat with a cuppa waiting for the woodburner to do it’s stuff thinking “Did that really happen?”

The hustle and bustle of the festive season had just stopped like slamming a door, and I just hate that moment in time.. it happens every year..  Time for reflection!

But within an hour of our return to No Problem it was back to normal.  The fire was blazing away, Lucy and Meg were groaning and moaning at me for not taking them for a walk quick enough, Vic wanted the satellite dish readied for Eastenders while all I wanted was to unpack! .. Normality cometh!

Knowing we would would not make the Marina at Great Haywood as usual for Christmas, thought was given to moor somewhere to be able to sustain our way of living if the weather was still freezing when we got back in the New Year.  Wheaton Aston was chosen… just 100yds to the bus stop to Stafford, 20yds from the water point and pump out, 50yds to diesel and coal, about the same for a pint and a pie and great walks for Lucy and Meg.. we are fine here!
