Back aboard and looking forward to the Spring
Moored Kennet & Avon Canal
Back now to our other boat!
We had a fantastic time cruising the Canaries, our last stop being the lovely island of Maderia. Spotted a whale one afternoon while leaning over the balcony rail..
I have never seen in my life a whale in the wild. This one was around 75 or more yards away and I was really lucky that I got it in focus!
So back aboard and we are thinking about cruising again properly after having been trapped one way or other on this canal since September. We have to be just a little more patient as one of the locks on the Thames is undergoing winter maintenance until March 16th blocking our way to Oxford.
Tomorrow we are off to Newbury to pick up some bits and bobs to fill the larder and fridge, before moving off mid week to slowly make our way to Reading and the Thames! Can’t wait!

Norwyn,
Lucky shot that. I also saw a single dolphin, so very fortunate this time. Glad you enjoyed the blog too, thanks.
